The Sand Hills Resort is located just off of the Red Road about 11 miles straight north of Rexburg. Its seated right on the edge of the dunes, right off the highway. From this campground, westward, are thousands of acres of the best dunin' in North America. The section of dunes just West of the Resort is actually one of the funnest little areas to play on that you will ever find; lots of jumps and fast trails with never a dull moment. If you are new to the dunes or have kids that aren't as experienced, this is an excellent place to start and you couldn't find a better place to camp. The Resort has a long history and, over the years, has been many things; bar, restaurant, dance hall, and even had a pool at one time. The pool filled in with sand sometime before I was born. The names that we, here in the local area use, reflect those changes; Fullmer's beach, the T-Bar-T, or simply the Resort.
The campground itself has laundry, showers, full hook-ups, cool, abundant shade, and plenty of grass to R&R on. If you are looking for a good spot to camp, you don't have to go any farther than the Sand Hills Resort. Further expansion and even condos are planned for then next few years.

This and the next two shots are taken from the highway, east of the campground. You can see the top row of hook-ups with campers parked there. From there and downhill, the trees and campground extend to the edge of the dunes.

This is looking down over the lower campground from the top row.
This is from the middle of the campground looking at the north row.
The SHR seems geared towards the "family" outing and provides a cool refreshing atmosphere.

This is the store. You can buy a soda or ice cream and sit on the porch.
You can camp right on the edge of the dunes and still have shade and grass.
There is a laundry facility, pay phone, and showers.
No need to run to town for propane.
Some shots from the dune side.

The SandHills has just added more camping this spring of 06.

Check out all those trees! And from the edge of camp eastward...
...nothing but dunin' paradise!!

The store is well stocked with parts and accessories to make sure your dunin' needs are met.

Tees, hats, pennants, etc... make sure you are stylin' in camp.

The coffee is hot and good and there are some really cool nic nacs to take home. Plus there is a hot pizza oven and microwave.
So come and buy a soda and cool - out on the porch.
