The Jeremy Crapo Memorial Ride

July 26, 2006

When someone passes on, I believe that we leave a part of ourselves in those loved ones that are left behind and this is the only string that binds our soul to this mortal coil. The only care we have, then, is for that time that we can be with our loved ones once again. All other earthly concerns disappear like a small puff of smoke in a strong breeze. Any gesture or memorial made after someone's passing is really only for the benefit of those who remain. By all accounts, Jeremy made the most out of the short time that he was given. I think we should consider this memorial ride a celebration of his life, of the short time that we all have allotted to us, and a reminder not to squander or waste one minute of life. I know that there are no words with power enough to heal this wound or extinguish the immense feelings of loss that Jeremy's family must be experiencing. Anything said would sound weak and hollow. For this reason I choose to remain silent and hope that time eases their pain.

The following few photos were taken during the ride in remembrance of Jeremy and I was pleased to take part. It seemed like the perfect ride and was a fitting farewell for those of his friends who participated. I will leave the link of this page for those who it will mean something to, for a short time only. After so much time has passed it will only become a curiosity to those who pass through so I will maintain the page for those who wish to visit it but delete the hot link from the main page of my website. If you lose or want the address for this page, just email the request to me and I'll send it to you.

Sincerely,
